Hey all. Here is a quick update on the new album. As of today we are about one fifth of the way to having the money raised for the new album. After just a week of fundraising, I am pretty stoked. We haven't sent out letters yet, and we havent promoted beyond Mission just yet. So my hopes are up that it is going to happen. THANK YOU COMMUNITY!

Catch Ya On The B-Side
I am the Creative Arts Pastor at Missiongathering Christian Church in San Diego, CA where I get to hang out with some of the most eclectic and amazing people I've ever known. I am obsessed with discovering what makes people (especially me) "tick." Things that make me smile: vinyl, originality of expression, honest art, writing music, sarcasm, my family, social justice, laughing at my own jokes, and deep theological questions with no real answer. Things that make me frown: being in a mall with no objective, selfishness, running out of gas and hollandaise sauce. These are my thoughts and observations on life, faith and the pursuit of Christ. By no means does what I write here reflect the thoughts and beliefs of Missiongathering or The Beautiful Rescue.

thanks for the comment. i'm sure we'll get to catch up sometime...Curtis has spoken so fondly of you that it'll be great to meet you. i felt more at home at Mission Gathering than i have in so long...after one Sunday my heart has been so ignited that i am completely excited to see what God has in store. Art is beautiful, and it was one of the things that definitely drew me in yesterday morning...the collages just grabbed my heart before i even went in for service.I'll stop my rambling for now, haha. Hope you have a blessed nite.

how bout this...before i slip into bed and get a few hours of class *in hopes that i won't sleep through classes tomorrow, since they do tend to frown on that here at loma*...I'll pray for you, if you'll pray for me...That God may grant true and perfect rest, and wake us in the morning with a refreshing awe and wonder at His love and grace. sound like a plan? i hope so, because like it or not...i'm praying for you tonite...haha...get some sleep, Jay...
